This article is about a man named Tim Davenport who is the director of Wildlife Conservation Society Tanzania Program. He recently discovered an amazing black and yellow colored viper snake from an area in East Africa. He named the snake Matilda's horned Viper, in honor of his seven year old daughter Matilda. The Matilda's horned Viper is about two feet in length and has scales that look like horns above its green eyes. The snake could be of interest to illegal pet collectors so the authors studying the snake are keeping the exact location of the new species a secret. The Matilda's horned viper is expected to be classified as very endangered and to have already established a small breeding colony.
